😉I think of many, usually drink only 2, seldom 3

Usually just 2-3, mostly at work. That depends on the amount of sleep I've gotten the night before though. The coffee intake rises rapidly in direct correlation to the lack of sleep...

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

When in the office, maybe two. I WFH more though so went with 4-5 cups of lovely tae. I used to never drink the stuff but the wife slowly turned me. . .

2 espressos in the morning, an americano at lunchtime and another espresso in the evening.

You are a khaki coloured bombardier, it's Hiroshima that you're nearing.

    Between 6 -8 cups a day.

My day starts and ends with a cup of tea. When I get to work and home from work first thing I do is make team. Lunch break, first 15 and last 15 min breaks need tea otherwise they don't feel like a break. The extra 2 would be for when watching TV.

I'm just lucky that tea is the only addictive substance that's not bad for you, tea is amazing

2-4 mugs of tea a day. Strong, with a little full-fat milk. Lyons Gold Blend is what I buy by default, but I'm actually not picky about the brand.

Have only ever drunk coffee 4 times in my whole life. Not a fan.

One in the morning before I leave for work and one on my morning break at 10.30am. Any more than that and I would get the jitters.

    No coffee and no tea.

One cup of tea first thing in the morning - to get the old bowels moving.

Don't bother with either tea or coffee for the rest of the day. There are better things to drink if you're thirsty.

What made you give it up completely? 5 is a bit much but did you not consider reducing it to 2?

I drink 2 or 3 per day myself. Never after 3pm.

Did you notice any benefits from giving up coffee?

I think, therefore I am. Tea

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,069 ✭✭✭ballyargus

Usually 1 or perhaps 2 strong cups of coffee first thing in the morning.

Then, tea - I couldn't count how many. Probably 1 for every hour I'm awake for the rest of the day.

Just felt like an addiction to be honest, the first week or two was tough with headaches and tiredness but i wouldn't go back now, honestly i don't feel any healthier but i am happy i've done it.

A coffee in the morning and if I'm at home, a second, or if I'm at work, usually a tea. Most days I have a nap before I have the second drink.

Don't drink coffee every single day. Could have max 1-2 when I do.

At least 3 teas everyday and I love everyone of them.

I don't know how people get by without drinking either tea or coffee tbh.

I have a double flat white in the morning and an americano (usually with milk) at 3 or 4. Sometimes might have another one after dinner, but that's rare.

our neighbours don't drink coffee or tea - handing them a glass of water if they call over is just odd (for me that is, they're obviously fine with it)

mind you, if i go to their house, i have water or a mineral - cos even if their lives depended on it, neither of them can make a decent cup of tea or coffee.

One strong coffee first thing in the morning and 1 or 2 cups of tea throughout the day. Depending on my mood and the biscuit selection available.

Usually 2 coffees in the morning and then sometimes a lemon and ginger tea in the evening.

Buckets of strong scalding tae with a drop of milk... love the stuff.

1 cup of coffee, and between 4-6 mugs of tea.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,374 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

None of either, don’t like the taste of coffee at all and my stomach isn’t a great fan, tea is quite bland I find without about 3 sugars.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,156 ✭✭✭Burt Renaults

A strong Nespresso before my shower, sometimes a double-shot. Then I make another to drink in the car on the way to work. Then I buy a flat white at lunch time. Maybe another one later, depending on how busy I am. When I do go at it, I do go at it awful and very hard.

And then I get up the following morning and I do go at it again. There'd be no fuckin' shtoppin' me, I'd take the shirt off any man's back.

Two mugs of tea before work. Wash and shower and dress. Coffee on the way to work in the car, another when I arrive, then one or two more before lunch, one in the afternoon, then two mugs of tea at home..

Tea; glorious, wonderful, restorative nectar that it is. I can't function, and nor do I want to, without it. At least 6 cups a day.

Sometimes it's teabags, two in a pint mug thanks with plenty of milk. Or if I'm wanting something more distinct I'll get the teapot out and see what tickles my fancy amongst the loose varieties I have.

Assam, good, strong and malty with a great caffeine hit for the morning. Ceylon maybe for a lighter, fresher taste. My favourite afternoon tea is Darjeeling, delicate and unmistakable flavour, no milk in this. Rolled leaves, not chopped, no fannings

There's so many more too but I'd be boring the arse off you ☺️
