HKC Quantum 70 cannot find inertia sensor to add ID

Hi.. I have a HKC Quantum 70 and one sensor cannot be found by the panel to add ID. My panel is mounted just below the fuse board for convenience. The sensor is ( 8 feet away ) on a window in a room behind the fuse board . Is it possible that an electrical field from the fuse board is blocking the communication path between the panel and the sensor. Alos is the location of the panel below a fuse board a problem generally.

Any advice please gratefully received.

Check the battery on the sensor is working.

If you bring sensor to panel does it find it on the scan?

Thanks Altor. Yes the panel finds the sensor if it is outside the room so Im happy it is connecting and the battery is brand new as is the sensor. It just wont communicate if the wall that has the fuse board is between the sensor and the panel.

Only option is cable to the sensor from panel as the panel can take wired sensors

Thanks Altor…I am going to move the panel to a location where there is no problem and install a seperate keypad.

No problem, hope all goes well with the move.

Make sure to check both wire free keypad and panel have a good signal before fitting.
