Power for Robotic Mower

    Hi

    I have a junction box at the gate , its 20v from what I can figure out ; Voltmeter jumps between 2- 50v (I am measuring in DC) ; from time to time settles on 20V

    I presume AC, I am not too knowledgeable on the subject ; it powers gate intercom and one of the electric Gates motors (other side of the gate has the 230V feed, issue is getting the cable across to the other side, tarmac is down)

    I want to charge a robotic mower , has a transformer ; input 100-230v 50/60Hz 38w , output 20V 1.5A

    What are my options to power this other than getting a sparks :)

    Fit the transformer inside the house, Any old bit of cable will do the 20v supply from the transformer to charging station. If you are talking 50Metres then use somewhat decent stuff..

    Honestly you could use old speaker cable; Coax tv cable is lying around everywhere, it will work great.

    You can buy a 100M run of 8core alarm cable for not much more than €20

    no need for sparkies
