Advice on products and setting up home storage

Hi all

I would be most great full for some advice on products for home storage.

complete newbie on this, i have never had home storage before..

What we have in the house is windows laptop, android phones and ios phones

I am looking for a solution, were i have home storage connected to wifi and all the above can connect to the home storage, to transfer videos and photos to the home storage, with everyone in the house to have their own folder / folders, so our phones are not clogged up with photos and videos..

Hi, you have two choices here:

1) Buy an already made solution (NAS appliance)

2) DiY path: build a small computer with few disks in a small form factor case and turn it into a server.

For option #1 I would recommend you this page for Synology solutions:

Then afterwards search for a local distributor/adverts/amazon/whatever works for you to buy it.

I must warn, option 2 is not for the faint of heart. It's rather easy to set up but you need a bit of knowledge on what you'll be doing. Therefore, woud defo recommend option 1.
