Holy child boys national school

Hi all,

I am moving to Santry soon and unfortunately my son's current school will be far from new apartment. He is currently in an Educate Together National school. I am trying to move him to the closest Educate Together school but there might be no spaces. The closest school to where we will live will be Holy Child Boys National School. I am concerned about change from Educate Together to a Catholic school, but if the school is good this might make things easier for me. Any reviews about the Holy Child Boys National School? Is it a good one based on your experience? Thanks a mill.

I would stay away. Hard to believe we still have one sex schools in 21 century. Embarrassment to go to such an ancient school. I would hesitate even to ask to see a curriculum of such 'schools' (more likely a religious brainwash machine).

Sorry, easy for me to say when I don't know area particularly for schools. The one thing is what I can say that Educate Together is centuries ahead the Catholic schools. However, I understand sometimes it can be difficult to get place in Educate Together.

Interesting to see you giving this advice based on your own prejudice. You clearly know nothing about this particular school but feel free to generalise with your own bias.

Lots of good schools in the area (so I assume they are difficult to get a place in) St. Pats, Drumcondra, Primary School in Beaumont, Holy Child, (and its not to far from Marino or OLV) there is also an Irish Language School in Santry. There are good secondary schools as well in St Aidans (beside DCU), Rosmini(temp situated on the All Hallows DCU, Ballymun Comprehensive. and excellent girls secondary schools on Griffith Ave and Mobhi road.
