Grant euroflame indoor boiler

    Hi folks

I have a grant euroflame indoor boiler about 25 years old. It originally had a grant burner which had housing around it . There was a flexible tubing which went from the top of that housing to the outside. Over the years the burner was changed to a Riello burner

Q: Does that opening to the outside have to remain open. That opening allows smell of fumes and cold wind back into the room ( utility area) depending on wind direction..

    Thanks in adv..
