Garda Reserve or not

    I'm planning on joining An Garda Síochána when I finish my LC next year and I'm wondering should I apply for the Garda Reserves first or just apply for Student Garda

    There hasn't been a campaign for reserves in years and it's unlikely there will be one for some time.

    Either way I'd suggest waiting a few years.

    The chances of getting into the Gardai at 18/19 after just doing LC are extremely unlikely. Make sure you have another plan.
