Does anyone here have starlink Internet in donegal?

Just wondering if it is worth getting it as we are currently having a terrible time with our Internet supplier and need a more reliable service.

Never heard of them. Is it fixed line or mobile?

    Its Elon Musk's sattelite system.

Getting great reviews and speeds. Expensive at €500 for the equipment and €99 per month but needs must at this stage.

I know 3 people who have it, each of them is very satisfied, the ease of setup and the speeds which they're getting both surpassed expectations.

We ordered Starlink (Dublin area) a week ago and hopefully get the product and full access in August. Just fed up with EIR and their mega slow broadband. Unfortunately, they cannot tell us when our street will receive Fibre.

Update: The Starlink package was received within 2 weeks 😆 and test-setup was completed within 5 minutes. Love it! Getting up to 250 Mbps Down and 50 Mbps Up on the router. Latency is between 30-50ms. The Speed varies a lot, but still way way better than what we had before with EIR (or Three on Mobile). The same speed is assumed to apply in Donegal, right?

I think all parts of country get same speeds, or they should since the signal is coming from satellites.

Should be no reason why one part of the country would have better speeds than another.

Thank you for the update. I'm thinking I'll definitely buy one.

Hi. Price recently dropped to €65 per month but it appears now that the average download speed attainable in Ireland (according to Starlink) is 100Mbps. Have you seen this drop in download speed from the speeds last posted (250 Mbps D/L and 50 Mbps U/L)?
