    8.00 Kempton,

Was just thinking about this horse last night,, Mick Fitzgerald was involved 😋 I can't remember if Mick was liking this horse on his first run over obstacles, or for some strange reason Fitzy had an opinion on a flat race (all this was in me mind - come to me in a vision, just in case anyone thinks the former GN winning jockey actually said owt about me pick 😂) "I really really like this Dors Toyboy" were his exact words - if memory serves 😝

DORS TOYBOY ~ 7s on probable sp ew

Horse is due a win,, form from his C & D December run reads okayish here,, he came 4th in a fast run race, and although well beat, he did run wide and keen that day,, 1 win from 22 outings at lowly levels don't really do him justice,, anyhow I will hope he makes it 2 from 23 on Wednesday eve,,,

    happy punting :)

That name sounds familiar alright, I probably unsuccessfully backed him before 😊

But tomorrow it's Tuesday leff, what happened to Tuesday's bets?!

    I got ya covered j@u 😋

have one (just one atm, and maybe tis all I'll find 😟) for 2moro,,, maybe ya were expecting several! The muse is temperamental and fickle - all she could give me was a sole hopeful longshot, but it's BTN (better than nowt - remember that acronym for future ref 🙂) ,, perhaps ya was expecting many, but t'layers have it at 40/85 that ya did nae see the thread above - which were remiss tbf 😋; though, saying that, the powers what be on this site need to answer questions re t'difficulties re site navigation tbf,, feel free to throw up a few yourself j@u if time, motivation, and inspiration allows,, law of averages has you at 17/10 to have purple patch in nxt 3-4 days! 😂 Ya foxy minx ya 😆 - prolly why ya were swayed to back that donkey Go Fox earlier doors 🤣

PS might could be that you saw this thread and though: "oi oi, Wednesday be above Tuesday in thread list, so folks might get confused, so I'll surreptitiously 'bump' t'thread" , which is to be applauded j@u, if that were indeed the case,, bit o conscientiousness don't go amiss neither, and twud be remiss of me to let it go unacknowledged ! 😊

I shall take note and post summit in 2moro thread and leave it higher up 😊

    night all :)

Few pennies for the interest on the outsider El Felicia 33/1 @1:50 Lingers, now upped in trip.

6pm Kempton, pity about the draw 10 from which True Icon is jumping out tomorrow, she'd be much shorter than 11/4 if drawn better.

I'm liking two early doors in that 6pm race,, BOADICEA BELLE ~ 8/1 gen ew in first time cheekpieces can go well,, drawn low in 1, so she should be chasing the pace here - hopefully - , like she did 4 runs back over tomorrow's trip of 6f, at Chelmsford,, she hasn't fared well the last twice at Chelly and Southwell, when held up,, ran ok the race previous in a Class 4 at Wolves,,

NIKKI'S GIRL ~ 9/2 gen e/w can go well from box 9, in running her usual hold-up race,, quite a few who like to frontrun/race prominent (Baileys Liberty, Sienna Bonnie & Ummsuquaim spring to mind) , so race could well be set up for Ed Dunlop's filly,,

Can't rule out j@u's favourable mention True Icon, and she may well be well 'andicapped, but the 10 box is a concern (not for those o' us what fancy summit else tho 😃)

Got 7s on Dors Toyboy 8o'c Kemmers e/w when I went in to back one or two at Wolves, earlier this eve, so happy enuf with that 🙂

The 7/4, and gammy looking fav Master Malcolm won over C & D lto, at the end of January,, a very similar race tomorrow, and t'going and grade are the same,, he just about won a slowly ran race then, and I think the extra few lbs on his back will impede future progress,, is only five, so can improve,, not for me tho,, I think he wants further anyroad..

Auld Sod ~ 8/1 is a former C & D winner from when he was with Philip Hobbs,,, not w/o a chance on his best form,, think he wants further nowadays and will swerve him, for tomorrow at least,,, wouldn't be the biggest surprise were he to win,

Gary Moore's ~ 4/1 shot Call Off The Dogs has some decentish form in t'book, but it's from over hurdles and on softer going,, he unshipped rider lto on his first chase start,, layers must think this is a right crappy race if this fella's vying for 2nd position in t'market,, then again, he's trained by a shrewdie, so ya never know,, looks lay and place (2 places as 6 runner field) lay to me tho,,,

will side with two win selections here:

    MOUSEINTHEHOUSE 13/2 Paddy/Laddies/Spoils win

Came 4th over C & D last March on similar ground,, that was a Class 4,, has two wins to his name, and both were on heavy going,, the latest of those was a Class 4 back in October 2020, on the back of his first win the time before that, in a Class 5, all the way back in January of that same year,, tomorrow will be his first run in a Class 5 since that Jan 2020 win, and though the ground don't look entirely suitable, I think he's good enough on a good day..

    MARETTIMO 4/1 PP/Boyles/Lads win

Won over a similar trip at Taunton two runs back,, flopped lto on unsuitable soft ground,, has plenty of decent form at a similar trip over hurdles, with a few placed efforts in Class 4s,, not a mortgage job, but he'll do me as a second pick here..

will do a rev forecast also, all things equal, ie both similarly decent prices

plenty in this with chances,, a very interesting race, and hard to have too strong an opinion on it imo,, saying that, I'm not liking Hobbs' 9/4 2nd fav Island Run,, he won lto over half a mile shorter on soft ground in his third maiden run,, based on his previous outings over ~ 2m trips in maidens on goodish ground, it's hard to be confident,,

Gary Moore's 15/8 fav Royaume Uni has as good a chance as any here, but looks way too short here,,

will side with MANVERS HOUSE 9/1 PP/Boyles/Lads in this Class 3,, has yet to win, but is versatile as regards how he runs,, first time tonguestrap may help, looks a couple of points too big perhaps,, should like the good ground,, has many placed efforts to his name,, could be a win or an each way pick in this,, maybe even a place bet,,, not decided yet,,, has never won, but has gone well at the course a few times, and is dropping down ratings,,

think I'll have a second pick here

    BREAKING WAVES 16/1 Boyle/Lads ew

Out of form lately, but maybe he was overraced for a spell, should be fresh after a ~ 4mth layoff,, the trip and the good ground will suit,,

    2 picks here,,

A poor race with likely the usual suspects going 4 places,, no point trying to over analyse it, it's that bad,, odds of reward are all what matters tho, and I think I've found two at biggish, and fair enough prices

    ANTONY 7/1 PP/Boyles/Lads ew

Old enough at twelve,, he did come 2nd in a Class 4 as recent as December last over a similar trip, when racing at Plumpton.. price is good cos is 7/1 (8s with 365) , but aint exactly value tbf, but it is a poor race

    ZILLION 14/1 Paddy/Boyle/Lads ew

just 5 runs over hurdles,, was quietly fancied lto at the course,, nothing solid to go on as far as form goes,, just have a sneaking suspicion is all.. again, not screaming value, but the opposition are mainly kak 😋

Speaking of t'opposition, and unless my calculations are wrong, the 13/8 fav River Tyne won lto on a bog 😂 unless it's lashing down atm, there's value to be sure in laying this fella for win, and both 3 and 4 places, on the machines, for those who have a/c's... he ran well in a PtP on goodish ground when winning, and may well win later today, but 13/8, nah, am just not seeing it,,

    😊

    One more !

    3.25 Catterick

SPOT ON SOPH NAP 7/2 Boyles/Lads win

Is a value pick to beat the shamefully short 11/10 fav Da Vinci Hand, who has to lump a massive weight here. He won over almost 1/2m shorter lto at the course on soft going,, why he's as skinny as he is, is frankly beyond me, and likely a form student who goes by t'name of Frank Lee, also has similar thoughts,, Spot On Soph goes well over C & D, with a win last December, and would have gone close the time before that but for a fall.. Soph was a non runner on Monday - presumably waiting for better ground,, a lot of things augur well for t'chances of Sam England's mare here,, possibly could go jolly,, a poor run lto at Wetherby is the unfortunate negative here,, so will stay away from CU 😆

I'll be backing 1 or 2 in UK later.

Now south Africa, 12.50 durbanville, the fav Sunday Island is around 5/4. I've backed this bigger odds but even at 5/4 it's excellent value in my opinion. I think the horse will win easily. Very persistent and prep run over this distance lto. Has to win!!?! 6/4 now.. Very good value

I fancy Mabre in the 3.00 Lingfield he has a decent draw and as always with Lingfield with luck in running he should be hard to beat iff this mark.

Great call there, I was just in the door, so didn't time to look at it.

In 7:00 o'clock Kempton, Amulfeed is bidding for 5-timer and might just get it but Allowed 4/1 is also on the upgrade and should be there abouts to pick up the pieces, so let's risk it for the biscuit.

4:10 Lingers - Harry Three has won his novice races like there's much more to come, was sent of 1/8f in 11 runners race in one of the occasions, finished 4th on his return this year only because he didn't get the clear run, surely can make his presence felt in this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,057 ✭✭✭j@utis

True Icon isn't bothered showing up at in Kempton tonight, I'm not sure what to make out the rest of the runners, esp the current favorite Sienna Bonne who's handicap mark has been inflated by being thrown into listed race just after winning her maiden. leff might be more right with Nikki's Girl in this one. I'm not touching any of them.

2 small e/w bets in the 7.00 Greystoke and the 7.30 amjad. Both would have place claims if running up to there best.
