    5.00 Wolves

fans of 'Shabs' will no doubt be watching this race intently, as Martin Smith's 3yr old colt finished 2nd the last twice over C & D to two of tomorrow's market principals, in the shape of Twilight Tone and Major Gatsby..

Shabs aint running tomorrow, so onto the pick,,

    GREEK PHILOSOPHER 25/1 gen ew

just my pick against the field who can 'go well at a price' - hopefully ,, has plenty of experience, and is drawn low in box 1.. Charlie Bishop regains ride, after Georgia Dobie's handful of spins on Eve Johnson Houghton's hoss,,

Looks a quality packed (for the grade) race, and no more than 'a run for me money' am I hoping for,, reckon I could spend an hour looking at this race, and still be none the wiser about it,, should be 4 places on offer with Paddy, or Spoils, or both,, online they are going that amount anyroad

    Gl :)

    Outsider pick

    4.20 Newcastle LEVEROCK LASS ~ 10/1 win

for 50c or € win,, not a 'massive' price,, come 2nd in this (or similar event) last yr,, may want it a bit softer,, not w/o a chance.

    3.15 Newcastle MAC TOTTIE 13/2 Boyles/Laddies NAP

A verry interesting race this,, t'purists might even be watching this intently, with a mind for finding 'clues' 'going forward' for big 'andicaps and suchlike,, four good horsies go to post, and all can be given chances,, pace might come from the deserving ~ 5/6 fav Bavington Bob here,, Mac Tottie aint done much recently, but he's been taking part in Grade 3 Class 1s and Class2 handicaps,, finds hisself in calmer waters today, and a repetititishin of his C & D run in March of last year would make his ~ 6/1 or slightly bigger price look very competitive here

I'm checking the twice if I'm in the right thread, it's Tuesday today right? 🤣

First one to catch my eye is Dubai Lady 4/1 in 7:00 Wolves. She won her first novice race very nicely, ran a good 2nd next time in Kempton and something went amiss when she finished last and lame lto but she was sent off evens favorite that time in slightly stronger contest. She had a nice little break to recover from injury, trainer slapped the hood on her to help her to settle. All good and at those odd she can even be done e/w, I'm on.

Now I'm gonna look at that 5:00 one, not reading your write up yet, leff, just to see what I see 😅

Hello all, hope everyone is well.

    Privatory (Sandown 13.50)

    Rolling Dylan (Sandown 15.30)

    Git Maker (Sandown 16.05)

    8/1 treble.

I flicked through all the card but found nothing else of interest in Wolves tonight, or I'm just lacking sleep and can't focus properly <- most likely.

Re 5pm race: HT has tipped Vintage Fashion in it, I see where he's coming from, she has a good draw, likes to lead and might cling onto that lead till the finish line. Two top favs have their form tied up through Shabs, it's very interesting one because Major Gatsby and Shabs were 2lengths in front when battling it out, and Twilight Tone beat Shabs by 2l the other time and recorded the faster time, so based on that Twilight T should be in front of Major G this time? Twilight has a wide draw but that shouldn't inconvenience the held up horse too much, and he bolted up here last time and is still unexposed, so all votes go his direction but 2/1 is quite shabby in this mix because there's a pile horses that are very lightly raced and/or significantly dropped in ratings, so anything can happen. I might have another look later on but now it's time to get back to cleaning cooking & sorting. GL.

Mac Tottie only 9/4 - on account of odds on jolly being a non,,, Greek Philosopher ~ 14/1 - missed the 25s 😂 Got 12/1 on Leverock Lass, so that'll do.

as well as them three, I also done LADY ALAVESA 7.00 Wol @ 40/1 ew 2 plcs,, she were decent enough a while back, so here's hoping ☺️

took a massive flyer on Frank Bishop's SPARKLING DIAMOND 80/1 each way in 5.30,, don't ask !! call it a hunch; plus factor in the poor quality, and ya never know ::)

likely that's me housebound for rest of t'day, and save a stellar insight or two, I've enough punting done for one day 😋

Went back to me old ways y'day and spent half day in betting shoppe,, no good 😓 .. I nearly tightened all me 'future' Rebel R profit (which come towards day's end, in process) ,, them 'free' mocchachoccachinos do end up being fair pricey betimes, and not at all tasty neither,,

    ah well,,

best o luck to us all today 🙂

3.30 Sandown, rolling Dylan, around even money now. I've got stuck in here with a decent win bet. It'll sting a bit if it gets turned over.

No joy with Mac Tottie in 3.15,, he were unable to claw back the ~ 3lgths or so he was down coming to 2nd last, and ends up being beat close on twenty,, maybe he wasn't fully tuned or t'ground was too quick,, no good today anyhow :(

WD to Hello 2D and Goat on getting the hard to find Rolling Dylan in 3.30 🤣

If I do venture back to shop, I'd be tempted to have a lil e/w on a former favourite/cliff horse in t'shape of CITYZEN SERG 14/1 PP/Boyles (1 or 2 of onlines going 16s) ew NB in 8.00 Wolves,, third run for new trainer Maxwell Young,, good news is the horse has won a few times over the extended mile here at t'course,, bad news is that he's never really fared well/stayed today's 9 1/2f trip on t'few occasions he's tackled it,, can't overlook him at prices tho, and he's tackled both the extended 9fs and the extended mile in his only two runs for his latest trainer, and not disgraced himself,, disclaimer, I haven't looked at owt else in that race, but me being an e/w punter, 'taint always necessary to look at rest o' field...

Leverock Lass pulled up,, possibly broke down :(

Greek Philosopher had plum draw and broke well, but faded relatively early....

Major Gatsby hacks up, so that's a good pointer for whene'er Shabs makes his reappearance,, can't say I've heard of that horse before last night, but one for t'notebook,, got me notebook about 10 days/2wks ago, and still have nowt in it 😃 ,, must get on with that,,

very poor the day's going,, but, to paraphrase Will young (or likely the chap who wrote song, which were prolly not Will,, might have gotten the ubiquituous "co-writing" credit though,, ie a 'fill in the blanks' job 😀), "If I lose the lows, then there won't be any highs" 😆

7.0 Wolverhampton, Crown Power around 5/4ish now, rebounding from about 11/10. I've been backing this the past while, I think this is a very solid win bet. 2 runs ago at Wolverhampton it was held up and looked to stay on, that was over 1m1f. That looked like an educational run to me, then lto ran over a distance too far 1m2..... 1m today, had its prep runs clearly and today is cash in time. I'm very keen this horse will win.

7.30 Wolves the fav civil law is short at 11/8 but to me I don't see anything in here to beat it if running up to form and I remember saying after his second last time out that the horse was still carrying a little condition. NAP bet for me . Maximum stake.

When you say short, depends how you look at it. Short price yes but could still be good value. I tend to agree with you, i think it'll win. I don't want to over do it with my bets but if Crown Power wins as I think it should, I'll more than likely back civil law, really does stand out in that particular race. I'm not sure if I'm backing but good luck with it, hope it wins for you.

The 8.00 is v tricky,, done Cityzen Serg, who's on t'drift, each way, and gone win on Voltaic,,, could give 5 or 6 a chance in the last,,
