It's amazing how people complain due to not knowing how to work their devices probably and think that the people who designed the whole thing would never have thought of this and millions of other users beforehand would never have told them about it.

It isn’t. It’s asked for when the user signs in on iCloud.com, which has a lot of other services that someone will be logging in for. And it’s made clear on the page that asks for the code, that you can get access to Find iPhone.

I'd say if people don't find it it intuitive to use then the ux could do with at least a little bit of work to help out here.

But I don't know the device or the service so.
