Hello All, This is just a friendly reminder to read the Forum Charter where you wish to post before posting in it. :)
Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

As per title. I'm looking forward to starting back racing in about 3 weeks time. For those who stepped out over the weekend, how did you find the pace. I'm monw interested in A3 but would love to hear others.

Done the Dublin Wheelers, I am way out of shape but as it turns out, so are most of the A3s and Juniors this year, certainly wasn't as tough as other years. Nonetheless, I did repeatedly lose the run of myself and go off the front and then fell off the back after sitting off the front for about half the first lap. This was more tactical stupidity than fitness of the bunch.

Racing Newbridge on Sunday, will report back

Still no start times announced. Any idea what time A3 was last year, 10am, 1pm???

    12:25pm + 4 laps (69k)

I hope you are right re fitness levels as i'm racing Sunday in Limerick.

Will report back on racing pace levels & hoping this year is far better than last year.

One example does not make a pattern but in previous years I have been on the rivet from the gun in that race. This year I am 10% heavier, a good bit slower and other than stupidly going off the front a few times, I would have easily stayed in the bunch if I could my ego in check.

Raced in Limerick yesterday with intructions to race agressively & try make an early break. Gave it what i had for 15k but no joy then a group skipped away while i recovered of course. Plenty of us made various attempts to get across but nothing would stick. One junr jumped on lap two and i amd a valiant attempt to follow him but was 10 yards short unfortunately ( he ended up third). What was left of the bunch came for places 8-10, had i known this id have thrown a better effort in the gallop.

All in all a savage days work with headwinds & a crosswind section on each lap which was crazy stuff. Legs are good so more than pleased with the winter, roll on the next races.

Newbridge A3 yesterday was windy too, biggest effort was up the first climb with each subsequent climb slower. I should have known that everyone else was hurting 😀. Solid first outing so no complaints. Power profile attached

I saw the Laragh Classic is no longer on the CI calendar for April 3rd which is a big pity if its gone, one of the few races us smaller guys can target. Anyone know any details if its been moved or cancelled or anything?
