Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Paying CGT when Selling

    Morning Guys,

Just double checking but am I correct in assuming that like doing a self assessed tax return, it is completely up to the seller to determine the liability and look after the CGT ? In other words the selling solicitor doesn't require any forms filled or withhold the tax at the point of sale ? And that the full sale value (minus their fees) is transferred to the sellers account ?

From the bit of research I've done it looks like payment must be made (via ROS if you are set up) before December 15th and then the corresponding CGT section is filled in the Form 11 when making a return the following year.
