Car hire in Canada

Looking at car hire in Canada, but they all seem to not include any insurance. Any suggestions? Can I buy insurance separately or just get skinned by the rental company at the airport?

Maybe look around a bit more? I hired a car a few years back and everything was included, but it was in the place I was staying not at the airport. Don't recall if it was one of the big ones though and could have been a smaller operator.

Yes, you can purchase car rental insurance separately and it's definitely cheaper than the insurance provided by the car rental companies. It also depends on if you're a resident/citizen of Canada or just a visitor.
