Does isolation end on Feb. 28th too?

I'm only looking for actual answers, please, not opinions!! If not the 28th, does anyone know when the plan is for it to end since NPHET won't be meeting again in their current state (and who knows when as a smaller group). Thanks :)

I am not sure there was ever a legal requirement.

It was public health advice.

The advice to isolate has evolved over time, it is now shorter than it had been for example, but the advice not to knowingly infect others will remain.

Sorry, I could be wording this wrong, that's my fault. I guess I should say when will the advice end that a positive person should isolate? I read the UK were looking at maybe removing it at the end of the month.

Thank you. It will be interesting to see how it will be decided with no more NPHET. In the UK at the moment, it is 5 days unless you are still positive on the 5th, then 5 more days

A very much smaller advisory group will remain. Information and advice will just come out of the DoH, via the CMO and Donnelly.

Yes, no change to the self isolation rules. I think they'll keep these for now - if Boris does drop them and it doesn't make a difference to hospitalisations, then we probably will too. Let the Brits take the shot!

How does self isolation work if you can't get a test? They are scaling back PCR tests to to those over 55, are they going to give free antigen tests to anyone under 55 on demand? How long is that going to go on for? You need a basis for believing you need to isolate other than 'I might have covid'
