Insuring a club car

Has anyone any experience of getting insurance for a club car? Will insurance clubs insure cars owned by cycling clubs? Will they allow open driving for anyone over 25?

Yes, you can insure a car registered to a club, buts its not easy and its getting harder every year! Open drive is even harder to get also. We managed to get ours covered with named drivers (max is 5) after a lot of issues!

Apologies for the delay…I’m not on boards as often as I used to be (hate the new layout) Our club used Arachas insurance brokers. The insurance company is with Allianz.

Thanks for that. Independently I found Arachas and got insurance from them for the club car. First outing for the car will be then Des Hanlon on Sunday.
