Hkc sw1070 alarm gross

Hi

I am getting an alarm gross on my kitchen window zone intermittently for the last few months . I have 6 inertia sensors with maxhunt magnetic reeds added in to them ( for window open purposes when setting the alarm) there is also 1 small maxhunt magnetic reed on the door on the same circuit. I have tested all inertia's with a multimeter and are all ok, resistance rises and drops quickly when tapped. Any ideas on why it may be getting gross alarm? Could it be one of the magnetic reeds is breaking down? The door reed has been there for 8 years and the window reeds about 3 years.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated as it is wrecking my head.

Its could be one or a number of devices that are faulty on the loop.

Have you tested the contacts also?

Thanks for your reply Altor, As it happens I tested the whole loop as 1 tonight and discovered that 1 of the contacts is playing up with varying resistance. I will change it tomorrow and fingers crossed the problem will hopefully be solved
