VW Passat 2014 boot wont open by "handle"

Boot opens fine with key fob or by switch from inside the car.

Looking if someone got schematics/diagram of how its fitted/wired there before i pull it appart

I suspect there would be "local" switch that might got gone/coroded. Or perhaps there is "feature" to deactivate the boot "handle"?

I know its a different car but its the same family of cars, ive a 09 A4 that you can disable the boot switch on the screen in the car.

Still works from the fob or switch in the drivers door but it stops people opening it in traffic or the likes

missed your post, thanks for input @9935452 , does not appear to be setting on instruments for boot alone

Anyway, there is power present on wire(and boot opens by shorting), but there is no continuity through the switch. Worst, the switch cannot be replaced on its own - whole assembly need to go as far i can see, pita.

Wonder if this would be NCT failure? I see this, but nothing in relation that its no opening by handle from outside(providing boot lid fall under "load space doors")

The only requirement for load space doors is that they can be secured in the closed position.

I have mine permanently disabled and its gone through the nct 3 times like that
