Any way to reduce or get rid of expensive monthly fees?

HI there, I have a BOI current account. I am kind of annoyed at the monthy fees that are being charged. They are, by far, the largest fees charged across the main banks for current accounts. Added up over the whole year, account fees are: €72 per year for BOI €18 per year for AIB €0 for PTSB on my explore account. Is there anything ye can do to reduce the fees on my account to a more competitive level? Sometimes I wonder why I don't just close the account because there is nothing I can do with that that I cannot do on Revolut or my free Credit Union account.

Closing the account will reduce your fees to zero.

We no longer have individual charges for many of the services, transactions, unpaids and referral items on your account. You can see the extensive list of these here - https://personalbanking.bankofireland.com/bank/current-accounts/personal-current-account/fees/ These are all combined now to 1 monthly fee of €6.00 charged on the last business day of the month.

The above will apply to all personal current account holders.
