I noticed this structure for the first time during the week, even though I’ve probably passed by it a thousand times. It’s just off the M50, near the top of the southbound offramp for Knocklyon/Templeogue. Anyone know what it is? My money is on a mobile phone mast with some fancy cover on it to take the ugliness off it. That or some Met Eireann equipment.

They used to have lovely green lights on it, but I think there was some worry that it was distracting and contributing to road traffic collisions, so they turned off the lights 😞
