4 rotor Tedders

I was looking to purchase a new Tedder this spring for my own use , so notting too expensive

like the Lely , Malone or , Kuhn, but more on the line of Sip , MF, Minos, Pottinger.

The Sip seems to have a strong frame , any advice on this is appreciated, Thanks.

Price around .. the diffrence mighnt be a whole pile and you could be aswell going mainstream brand!! Got a krone 2 years ago and we find it a great job.

Id be inclined to do buy a mainstream brand too.

They might cost more now but would give less bother and would be worth more come trade in time

Have a krone and can’t fault it. Got it for 9k. Think they are more like 9500 now. I think the MF ones are very good for around 7 grand new

There are 2 types of MF/Fendt versions.

One would have formerly been a Fella, the other a Lely Lotus. There’d be a big difference between the 2.

Alot of people have a preference for the lely tedder. I don't like the hook tone myself as it's too hard to set. I prefer a straight tine tedder. Less hassle to set and tines not as easy to break

Bought the Krone 4 rotor new myself about 5 years back.

Super machine. Haven't broken a tine (straight) on it yet. It does my own work only.

Stored indoors when not used, will last me a lifetime.

Out of Lely, Krone and Malone 4 rotor tedders which one would be the best for saving Hay or are they all very similar ?

Use a 6 rotor Krone regularly and find it spreads lovely and even, Easily adjusted with a hydraulic toplink. Easy to put on too. Can't comment on the others but imagine they'd be pretty similar.

Theres probably not a hole pile in the difference quality/price .. I remember the malone was the dearest when we bought our krone but there was a few extras like spare wheel and lights with the malone .. also had that hook tine concept at the time.

The nearest dealer/best back up service is probably what would sway my mind sami23

I find the krones leave the grass lumpy. Any I've seen around here anyways. Could be the operator tho

Oh fair enough, I know and I'm not for a minute saying you're wrong. I always found it toss grass out well but I never had to bale or lift the swarths after it.
