    Hi,

Waiting for snag list to be completed and we have noticed that when it is windy the roof felt is making a lot of noise, waking people at night and requiring turning up the TV in the single story area. Builder has said he will silicone the fabric to the gutters, is this the correct way to remedy this, any other suggestions ?

    Thanks.

This occurs because modern breathable felt as it is very light unlike the heavier impervious tar felts. Would be interesting to know what else people suggest for this problem. I think on new builds they use support trays to reduce the flapping. I don't know if these can be retrofitted. One thing you need to watch for is if the felt really sits far into the gutter. This is not correct because it is not UV stable
