    Hi,

I'm doing a restoration job on an old bungalow. Going to replace the entire plumbing system. All piping, rads, 15 of them. Everything bar the boiler.

Anyone have an idea what the rough cost would be? Just a ball park figure so I get an idea.

    Thanks

In light of the retrofit announcement today it might be worth your while bringing the house up to current standards in insulation, airtightness, ventilation and heading. I know this doesn't answer your question but you will never get a better opportunity.

Materials only will probably cost between 3 - 6k depending on spec.

Are you doing any of the work yourself? If not, budget 10 - 15k. There are a lot of factors to consider though, which can increase the cost significantly. For example, if the floors concrete and need to be chased to run new pipes, probably add another 5k. Are you replacing the hot water tank and the cold water tank in the attic? New hot and cold feeds to kitchen & bathroom etc?

Not doing any work myself. All concrete floors will have to be dug up and relaid. Around 13 rads, heating and domestic all being ripped out and replumbed.
