Will cancelled motor insurance affect other policies

A friend of mine had motor insurance cancelled a while back due to innocent non disclosure. Will this affect other policies also when renewing ie household, public indemnity etc as they ask if “ever been refused any insurance, renewal or had any special terms or conditions imposed by any insurer” Could they be refused these policies too or would they be noted and bigger premium? Thanks.

If the non disclosure was innocent the policy wouldn't have been cancelled surely.

Subject to correction it may affect future motor insurance, and probably not other classes of cover. Non disclosure quite correctly isn't viewed lightly.

I've noticed 1 very specific item that appears In the T&C's of most Polices, specifically House and Car .

Have you ever Had a Policy Cancelled 🤔

So yes because your Friend will be obliged to disclose the cancellation. The new insurance company will then decide on that disclosure wether to decline a quote or increase any potential quote.

None Disclose will void the Policy and be under no illusions , if your friend put in a claim , the new insurance company will look into any previous policies they held.
