Importing trigger bits.

I have a Ruger MkIII. Good pistol but has a god awful trigger.

Im thinking of ordering a new volquartsen trigger and sear or perhaps the full accurising kit from Brownells.de

Is this allowed nowadays here?

Better again are there any retailers here that sell these bits?

AFAIK the trigger is not a "component part" by EU standards(see SI here which requires component parts to be marked).

It is certainly allowed, it just depends on whether an import permit is required, and if in doubt send an email to the DoJ:

And ask the question, since they are the ones who administer the import/export process for firearms.

If it does require an import permit they are very easy to get, just fill in the form and attach a front and back of your licence and email to the DoJ.

Usually comes back in a week or so.

Strangely too for Ireland, it's a free process! 😁

As an addendum, from the Brownells site it doesn't mention an EWB(German gun licence) required, so from their side it doesn't look like it is a regulated part, so no export permit would be required.

Concur...It's a free part group. Like all of the EU, [except here of course!]Germany can sell anything NON-pressure bearing, or critical function components to anyone, as it is just a bunch of metal and springs, etc and can't do anything unless it is installed in a firearm.
