Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there

does anyone know about the Minut noise device installed in some Air bnbs?

    how sensitive are they?

would they detect a gathering of 10 people with some music playing?

    thanks

They pick up number of devices, so Fitbits phones etc will note number of people. The host obviously doesn't want gatherings nor parties so why book somewhere that has a risk of being asked to leave if you are in breach of the t&C's.

Yep! plus anyone with one usually has CCTV on the entrances and exits to the unit. If they do have CCTV it will be listed in the security section on Airbnb.

These types of devices have multiple methods of detecting larger volumes of people (temperature rise, humidity rise, increase in bluetooth/wireless MAC addresses, noise leve, etc etc). Its very likely they will detect a gathering

If looking to rent somewhere for a party, find somewhere that actually rents for that purpose.
