Yeah the last word came down to a choice of two and I picked the wrong one.

If I'm understanding " jumping the shark" correctly, I don't think it's the case, as all the words with a few exceptions were pre-programmed before NYT took it on and are still being used.

Yeah I understand that too, but today's words has singular trait that I haven't come across yet in Wordle which makes it an outlier of a word. I'm not complaining, loads are obviously getting it, but I just don't think it should be a game where luck becomes a significant factor of the six guesses

yeah todays was tough. after my first two guesses there were only three possible words in total as I had the last 2 letters in order and had eliminated all the other vowels. the actual answer was the least likely of those 3 so it took me 5 guesses instead of 3.
