Alternative to traditional wall vent

Hi, would anyone have any suggestions to the typical wall vents in house. Background, doing up an old house, complete gut job. Planning on air to water system, underfloor heating, will have a stove fire. Going for external external insulation and many houses that i have seen where they have vents and external insulation…

Hi, would anyone have any suggestions to the typical wall vents in house.
Background, doing up an old house, complete gut job. Planning on air to water system, underfloor heating, will have a stove fire. Going for external external insulation and many houses that i have seen where they have vents and external insulation they have 'stains' coming out of the vents. I believe i could get trickle vents on the windows, but is there any other alternative that I should/could look in to?

If you gutting the house then go for a ventilation on demand system or a heat recovery vent system.

With an airtight, externally insulated house your heating bills will plummet.
