Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Here comes another one folks, Deltacron, elements of delta, with 10 omicron mutations. Early studies in Cyprus say it's not a variant of concern, hopefully it will stay like that.

It was fairly roundly dismissed as likely being an error due to lab contamination, and has been pretty much dropped as a talking point since then. You're a bit late to this party.

I'm always late to parties best time to go in :) hasn't been fully dismissed yet though, as lab contamination

Any new variant will have to outcompete the extraordinary transmissibility of Omicron in order to become dominant, so I'd take all talk of new variants with a large pinch of salt before worrying. Anyway, get your vaccine, if you already haven't. You'll be grand.

Cool, it was just that I was down at the chemist and she was telling me about, Deltacron. I said, I thought Omicron was cancelling out delta, alpha etc.. ?!? she didn't know.

Good to hear there's nothing to worry about, Cheers man! 👍🏽

    25 confirmed tests,

From 25 samples from a batch of 25 tested at the same time in the same machine.

Retesting was not carried out before news of the scarent was released.

Technical part in a easy way to understand parts of the protein would have to be have a double mutation on the same spike which could not happen in nature.

Cross contamination only way the results could have been reached.
