Review of the year articles: Lazy journalism?

Still seeing a few of them on RTE.

I know what happened last year, I was there.

I'll give an exemption for Reeling in the Years as it looks back with nostalgic distance. The TV3 (yes TV3) equivalent's writer should be shot.

Are alot of them on extended holidays? I'd like to see the news, not the olds.

Pop Goes Northern Ireland is a wee bit like Reeling in the Years except that a lot of the news was so depressing.

I miss Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe review of the year.

I think a greater concern is the lack of balance, with there being obvious bias on a number of issues, with little inclination to show the negatives of their preferred agenda/group.

Too much desire in RTE to follow in the steps of American sensationalism, and drama.
