I guess AIB servers can't handle a number of customers. I constantly have issues to login. It takes a few attempts.

Due to holding a bank account abroad, you'll need to submit a Form 11 annually to the Irish Revenue, I think. Same for Revolut holders since they became a bank.

Over 3 years on EBS current account still going well and no fees. Was told at the time AIB would shutter EBS. No sign of it yet...

Our mortgage account was transferred to PTSB - got a letter from Ulsterbank there saying that our repayments had been miscalculated at some point in the past and we are due €700 refund and compensation, to be paid to our account through PTSB.

Happy days, and I'm surprised tbh that they fessed up to this. Presumably it came to light in an external audit.

As per our posting rules we do not comment or speculate on the business affaris of financial institutions.

    • You have no idea what the intions are with ESB
    • You have no idea how or why the error was detected. My experience over 40 years is that errors are discovered for all kinds of reasons.
