Bathroom Switch Wiring

I'd like to replace my 2-gang bathroom light switch with a 1-gang capacitive touch switch. The left switch in the photo controls the lights in the bathroom. I don't understand why the right switch is wired- it doesn't seem to control anything in the bathroom (or anywhere else). Could someone please explain this to me? (Or how might I find the purpose of the wiring in the right switch).
