A bit of bad lingo is one thing but the sauna incident is way way out of order and should not be tolerated in any place by anybody .

Frost said in court her own father told her to “suck it up”. Those were his exact words.

I never said the incident where he dropped/lifted his towel was acceptable. I did say it probably warranted a police caution. If he did that in a leisure centre or a gym the police would be involved.

What I described as unmerciful abuse was abuse. Words. Nothing more and nothing less. Did it bother me? Of course it did but only because it reminded me that I fucked up. Bottom line here is that there are plenty of jockeys that came out and defended Dunne. They witnessed first hand what went on and while words were said, no denying that obviously, is it not telling that the other jockeys didn’t feel the need to step in? We’re talking heat of the moment abusive words that every single person in the world uses on a day to day basis. Dress it up whatever way you want, the whole thing was blown out of proportion. If he didn’t threaten to do her (an obvious empty threat by the way) then none of this would ever have happened.

Frost only lodged the complaint after Dunne threatened to “do” her or whatever he said. She also had someone (don’t think she admitted it) ring him and threaten to break his legs.

abuse, physical or verbal should be less acceptable in an individual sport played professionally.

You're talking about teammates fighting, you getting hammered for mistake in county final. That's not right, but if you're comparing like with like it's same as frost getting abuse from general public over a bad ride(which I presume she puts up with).

Workplace bullying a different kettle of fish. Just cause that's the way it's always been doesn't make it right.

Think about other individual sports, you won't find similar examples of abuse being generally accepted. Especially when done professionally. Boxing, MMA obvious exceptions...

But I agree still 18 months is really harsh, it could be financially disastrous for him. I'm guessing dunne going to be scapegoat for them cracking down on the changing room culture.

Any man that acts and speaks to any woman like that is scum as far as i can see and he's lucky he wasn't permanently banned,

i didn't hear too many jockeys backing him up either he sounds like the loud annoying type to me, my only surprise is another jockey didn't intervene and tell him to cop on

    Ruby Walsh wondered that too!

“Ruby Walsh: Why did nobody tell Robbie Dunne to sit down, shut up, and behave?”

it's weird because most decent men would unless they were afraid of this guy for some reason, i'd say the rest of the jockeys, male and female are happy he's gone.
