The old ones are dodgy as hell TBH - you'd be better getting a new one or you could end up do some damage

+1 on this. I did the same. I got a different model to deadl0ck's one, but from what I read the stock PSU's are capable of taking out the C64 itself if/when they fail. Many of them aren't serviceable either as they're immersed in resin/epoxy before they're sealed up in the casing.

Yea, the newer revisions are a bit safer than the older models.

I’ve been thinking of making one in the original case, now I have one.
