Recycling bale film

My bales were made using the white film instead of net this year….Does anyone know if this film can be bundled in with the wrap for recycling, or has it to be kept separate?

All recycled together, no need for separating.

Depends where you take it most centres accept it although I saw on another forum where a fellow was refused at one of the centres. Big load and spotlessly clean yet had to take it all home again.

I bundle white and black together and never an issue

This year at the reception depot they were separating the black plastic from the rest.

How would they separate it if it was all pulled off the bales together and stored in the same pile all winter? It’s a job that I certainly don’t want to be doing, hence my original question…….

If they wish to have it separated, word needs to go out so that farmers can separate next autumn. I personally find it easier to separate as the bale is opened, not coming back to sort 3 months later.

And what if you used two different coloured rolls on the same bale which we often do. Differentiating bales from different fields

Are you talking about other plastic ( feed/ fert / netting ) bags or what OP is talking about ( the new balers that put on plastic instead of netting ) ?

Not the feed/netting stuff, Was black from silage pit and clear from fert pallet wraps and 500 kg holding bags.
