Search function

Hi guys - can’t search for anything properly or like you used to in the old site.

am trying to run various searches on topics that I know tons of content exists on but it’s picking up nothing or a couple of links.

What am I doing wrong here?

If the search function worked you could search and find all the many threads about this 😉

Basically, they know it doesn't work properly and are working it and have been for months. In the meantime searching via Google works e.g. "storm Barra" site:boards.ie

Simple searching for "foreign transfers" in Bank of Ireland forum reveals full list of threads without any search being performed at all! Beyond frustrating.

I was trying to search for newest items first, and got "No results found". Default sort "Best Match" shows lots. I noticed the URL had a "date/inserted" option and changed that, and there were results.

https://www.boards.ie/search?query=synology&sort=-dateInserted&scope=site&startDate=2020-01-01

I then tried a different search pattern which did show up some results, which is curious.

https://www.boards.ie/search?query=search&sort=-dateInserted&scope=site&startDate=2020-01-01

Google search not much use in this case.
