summer sun holiday 2022 recommendations 2 adults 3 kids

hi all,

I'm looking for holiday recommendations for:

flight no more than 4 hours, the shorter the better.

2 adults +3 kids (10,7, 6 months)

sun holiday

aparthotel self catering

kids club (preferably with an older kids club for the 10 year old)

It would be great being within walking distance of a beach and a town/shops/ restaurants etc.

we have done cambrillas in Salou so don't wanna go there again.

Any input greatly appreciated.

I ended up booking the Protur Bonaire in Cala bona in Majorca.

We were meant to go there in 2020 but we cancelled due to covid etc.

Looking forward to it now.

went to Alfagar village in Portugal (just outside Albufeira) last August. Me, my wife and 2 kids (2 and 3 year olds) and loved it. Kids had a great time and flight was about 3hours and only about 45 mins from airport to resort. Theres kids clubs there though we didnt use them so not sure how good they were but seemed to be plenty of activities and loads of water slides and bout 15minute walk to beach with a pram (closer without but a lot of steps). Taxis were very cheap to visit the old town square at night also. Hope this helps

I’m actually looking for something like this!! Was thinking Of staying in old town albufeira.. would like a nice place for toddler… how far was your place from old town ? What was name of it ?

we stayed in alfagar village last year but booked the apart hotel right beside it for this year as its nicer, bout 10mins in a taxi to old town, roughly €8.

theres an alfagar nearer to old town and cheaper but doesnt have all the kids water slides etc

Been to Cala Bona Several times and stayed in the Bonaire a few times lovely hotel and had great entertainment when we were there with kids. Cala Bona town is just a short walk from the Bonaire and has a lovely atmosphere. Janet & Johns - Smyth's - Olivias on the harbour are all good for food as is the Rope & Anchor. The Rope & Anchor have another bar out the back (Bar Jemica) that has mini golf and kids playstuff.

Cala Millor is a little further walk down from Cala Bona and the Beach in Sa Coma is worth a trip might be about a tenner in a cab.
