Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Contacting talent acquisition within a multinational

    I submitted my CV for a job a week ago and also emailed the talent acquisition specialist with my CV telling them i had applied and explaining that there were a number of roles i available that i am qualified to apply for, and was it ok to apply for multiple roles. I got an out of office reply and have not heard anything since. Could anyone advice me on how i could follow up the on my question and application. Should i give more time?

    If they haven't been forthcoming with a response to your question, I'd drop it. They're not going to tell you that you can't apply for multiple roles. It might look a little scattered on your part if you inundate them with applications, particularly if it's a skilled role, but I don't think asking them about it will yield any benefit, particularly if they haven't been keen to get back to you. If they're entry level roles I'd say definitely go for it.

    As for the original application, a week is no time at all in the hiring process so I think it's a bit early to be following up. What was the closing date for applications?

    Did the out-of-office give you any info, e.g. how long they'll be gone? Is there an alternative contact provided?

    Thanks, the out of office said she'd be back the following day. There is no closing date on the job so i assume its still open. I send in the second application. Both are entry level.

    Ah yeah if it's two entry level applications it won't look bad at all, you're best off applying. I'd say if you hear nothing for over 3 weeks then it's time to start following up.
