Tea towels only for drying ware!

Do people agree with the statement ?

For me tea towels are only for drying ware!

Feel nauseous everytime i see my housemates drying their hands with the tea towel, using it to put things out of the oven, and then dry the ware!

I wash them and have supplied a hand towel. Going to go to penneys to buy more as if their isn't a supply they'll pull them out of the washing basket and use them. Can't get over how people are in their 30's and not care about hygiene or just take advantage of others. Yes, i let them but or else I could get sick.

If my hands are wet, anything soft and dry is a towel. Tea towel. Coat. Sleeve. Dog. Etc.

OP, hang the bath towels in the kitchen, and put the tea towels in the hot press/bathroom. Next time your housemates have a shower, they’ll get the message when they try to cover or dry themselves with the dish-drying cloth. Also, while they’re in the shower, put a horse’s head in their bed. To show you mean business.

Two towels. One, a hand towel, for your hands. Two, a dish drying towel, for drying dishes.

No 😁 Not for me - after one go, they're damp, so that equals not something I want to be drying dishes a few hours, or a day later.. May as well use the tea towel for drying one batch of dishes, and then for hand-drying... each to their own 😊

Who dries "ware" or the like? Wash them, rinse them and place on a rack by the sink. Air dried in no time!

    "Ware"?

    What?

Do you peasants not have a dishwasher?

Do you still have a mangle to put the clothes through?

My dishes dry on the drying cycle in the dishwasher.

Apparently if the tea towels were used to dry dishes and take things out of the oven then you shouldnt...... thats the issue

I think the op has strict rules

Tea towels only for drying ware

Hand towels only for drying hands

    Oven glove only for oven

Anything not used in the rules causes nausea

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    "WARE"?

    Hardware? Software? Silverware? Tupperware?

I use the tea towel to dry my underWARE!

How do you manage to keep your wet hands away from the tea towel when you are drying the ware?

If you are worried about hygiene you shouldn't be drying the dishes, let them air dry.

    This.

I dont understand the obsession with tea towels and immediate drying and putting away like the house is run by the army.

Personally, it would probably bug the shyte out of me to see people using tea towels as a hand towel.

Germ incubators and spreaders , let the washing up drain dry or use a dishwasher

Paper towels for drying hands and then chuck them into the paper bin ... some would think it's not very 'green' but more hygenic imo..

They're not called "towels" for nowt mrs.. 😊 That's their whole purpose - can even use them for drying a dish, if it's not quite 'airdried' ..

Landfill means the paper towels are sequestering carbon.
