Merge or link accounts?

Hey, I got an xbox a few weeks back and when I signed in for first time I had to set up a new gamer tag. I did have an old gamertag, but assumed because it hadn't been used in years it was dead, as I couldn't figure out how to log into it.

Today I figured out that the reason I couldn't do that was because my old account was using a super old email address of mine. So it turns out I now have 2 accounts. One is a better name (no stupid numbers at the end) and older, but the new one has gpu and billing and stuff enabled on it. I assume there's no way to merge these? At the very least, I'd love to swap the game tags so the better name is on the current account. Any ideas?

Maybe if you change the gamertag on the old a/c and then change iit on your new a/c. I wouldnt risk it though unless I knew it was 100 percent guaranteed. Maybe contact support?

If I was in your shoes, Id wait until GPU runs out and switch back to the old a/c unless youre locked out of the email?
