Attic soil vent pipe outlet gathering water

Noticed recently the flexi pipe from the soil vent to the roof outlet sags and gathers some water. Can the soil pipe but cut down a bit to have a straighter run and avoid the sag in the flexi stuff? Any ideas?

Hi,can you edit your post for clarity please the part " gathers water some water"

And to " have a straighter room" are kinda confusing me.

Also what is the actual purpose of this vent, is it connected to an extractor fan in a W.C.?

Ah the photo rotated, sure you could do away with the 2" PVC pipe alltogether and just extend the flexi pipe out to it's Maximum. (if it's long enough)

    It's a soil vent.

what's the point of the extra "air vent" pipes in that diagram? the drains are connected to the soil stack which is already vented.

    To stop gupling. :)

They are air admittance valves to prevent the displacement of the water in the u-bends due to vacuume pressure on long horizontal runs with poor drops. It's common enough, but these valves are more common in the UK it seems than here (that's what the lad in Chadwicks told me).
