Old Phonewatch alarm

I took over my fathers house 2 years ago. He used a Phonewatch monitoring system. I disconnected the contract in March last year as we simply do not need or used the monitoring system. Now we the old alarm system is beginning to play up and I am looking at unmonitored systems that we can monitor ourselves. While you say never say never, we live in a safe enough area and have never had problems.

Has anybody used Homesecure or would anybody recommend a unmonitored home alarm system that is reliable? Appreciate any advise.

Do you know what system was installed in your dads house?

The older systems can be used as standalone alarms.

If it has a status button, pressing this will let you know any faults on the system.

Home Secure is now owned by Sector alarms, which owns P.W.

Its a Simon system.

See the status button on the top right, if you can press this with lid closed it should give you what is wrong with the system?

I checked it out. It appears the problem is that it is low battery. Not sure how to change this.

If its the main control panel battery, this is the one you need.

When you drop the front lid, enter the user code.

The drop the other keypad by the same way as the front lid, battery is located behind this.
