As the title states, which MLB do you support and why do you support them?

I'm new to the Baseball scene and last year was my first year watching it and I enjoyed it a lot due to the times which it was on suited me. But I don't have a favorite team yet and just enjoy watching all teams equally at the moment or just who ever is playing on the night. Obviously deep down some of me want's to support the Red Sox but not sure of it only due to the Irish connections with Boston...

Cubs for more than 25 years. Primary reason was a game at Wrigley. They lost. They kept losing for 20 years until 2016!

Mets since 1968. Grew up in a family where Mom was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan, who switched her allegiance to the Mets when they started in 1962. Vague memories of attending a game at the Polo Grounds as a small child, my older brother kind of confirmed he thought the same. He is a Mets fan, too.

Been through all the ups and downs, by far a majority of downs. All the world series were either listened to on the radio (1969), watched on B&W TV (1973), on color TV (1986), in person (2000), or online from Ireland (2015). Probably will be buried wearing my Mets hat. My brother still has our autographed Tommie Agee poster, acquired at a game at Shea. Had a piece of Shea from the demolition but herself insisted on limiting how much we moved overseas so I gave it to the brother.

To follow the Mets, you "must endure the suffering" so that when they do win or get close it's that much more of a ride. Been in the wilderness the last 10 or so years (with a brief, brilliant exception of late 2015), due to incompetent and corrupt owners, but based on the new ownership, especially the action in Free Agency in the last week or so, things are looking up.

    Dodgers

Lived in Orange County for a year back in 93.

My Dad and brother both supported the Angels, who were our local team.

They both supported Man United in football, and I was an Arsenal fan, so it was in my head that I needed to support a different team from them in baseball too.

Picked the Dodgers because I liked Mike Piazza, and they were always on tv.

Been to Dodgers stadium twice. Once in 94 to see us lose to the Cincinnati Reds, and again in 2018 on honeymoon to see us beat the Angels behind Kershaws pitching

Also been to Fenway a few times

Sometimes its just easier to support none and enjoy the game for what it is.

I started supporting the Mets because they were always on Youtube for Free.

I have been to CITI Field twice. Its a relaxing experience.

Have you been to the Cyclones?

Never got the chance. When I lived in NJ in the 90's I would go to minor league ball to see the Somerset Patriots play. They were a ton of fun.

I have, however, ridden the coaster more times than I can remember.

I have been to see the San Francisco Giants, the LA dodgers and Toronto blue Jays.

The atmosphere was unreal in Toronto so I tend to support them

Do you go to any sporting events in Ireland?

    GAA, Rugby or Soccer?

One American said to me that Basketball in Ireland was High School Standard.

I've gone to a few GAA matches locally here in Kerry. They're entertaining. It's great going to amateur things for a few euro and standing around with friends and neighbours cheering on the local lads. Definitely not the high-end experience (or insane prices) you get attending Pro sports in the US.

I've watched 6 nations a few times is about it for rugby. I can't really compare directly but I think the Soccer is probably on par with US soccer, I was a fan of the old soccer league in the US when Pele played for the NY Cosmos. The current one I wait for the world cup to pay attention, and the women players are far better than the men in the US.
