Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

Need a bit of help locating an ECU, key eyc for a 2012 Kia Sorento 2.2D. My buddy took in a clean Sorento with a damaged ECU. It's beyond repair. Not sure what happened it. We're trying to locate a crashed/damaged Sorento with an ECU & key. Not sure if anything else is required. Anyone know of a 2012'ish Sorento scrapped in Ireland. Other years close by would do. Full ECU, key etc available on ebay but its located in Germany.

    Thanks,

    T.

Not sure, you may need the programming even if there is key and ECU match. Just other modules does not understand anything if VIN does not match. If that vehicle still have old ECU, I suggest to figure out where is the problem. It is necessary step to understand what happened and can it happens again. Is it correct, you never seen running that engine? Are you sure it does not hide much bigger problem? Never trust the (customer) story because they do not know or they do not want to know.
