TV allows cast of desktop but not apps on laptop

    Anyone ever see this happen? Its a Phillips 50 inch 4K TV. Used to work, only a year old

    Yeah i know this is AH but I get a pass for being so rad!

    I think you need to more give info on laptop, us it Windows 10 pro,11, 7? Maybe brand eg Sony 450j, if it has vga out or hdmi out port you could plug it into TV, maybe set it at 1080p resolution or lower or look 9n tv manual connect pc to TV settings

    Random Idea but a lot of WIFI routers have two "bands" you can connect to. 2.4ghz and 5ghz I think.

    Anyway once I did not realise this and some of my apps were connected to one, and some to the other. And this essentially meant they were on different networks. So I had often trouble that some hardware could connect to each other and some not.
