2014 BMW 116i 1.6L (Japanese import)

Hi Everyone,

i’m planning to buy a BMW 2014 116i 1.6L petrol from a car dealer in Dublin…the car is Japanese import and it is very low mileage… any problems with spare parts or with the car itself? What about the overall experience of Japanese imported cars?

Exact same car as one originally sold in Ireland or the UK. No issues with parts or anything. Japanese imports are usually higher quality, lower mileage etc.

Keep in mind the Japanese radio will not work here, different frequencies. Not sure if it can be rectified in situ or a new head unit is required.

I think its just a software update for the BMW’s
