    hi all

its an AUDI A6 Saloon ( C7 type) and as the title says i'am having issues with these 2 modules and i think the airbag control module is under the center console but for the life of me i cant find out where the electronic brake module hides out ( a google search is not always a happy result )

    thanks in advance

Did you try looking in the boot for it?

hi , had a look around and there are a few different modules in the boot so i need to be sure . I can find the location for earlier models but not the C7

airbag module location (1). Do not be fooled by DTC, this is guidance only. You need to make the real diagnostics. DTC reading is not the diagnostics

First things first. I could start from battery to get the proper voltages. 11.8V is obviously too low. Cranking by 11.8V can lead to corrupted memory. I can not find the pinout or even the module location, only I found your more detailed story on audizine website.

    If you find that module

    Address 53: Parking Brake (----) Labels: 4H0-907-801.clb

    Part No SW: 4H0 907 801 E HW: 4H0 907 801 A

    Component: EPB-4 H03 0012

Then try to figure out the powers and grounds. May be other day I have better luck on google, now late hour

I told to you, need only better day and I can find the bastard :P Number 6. There is 2 different mounting systems, retaining frame and nut(s). Removing is easy but if you have nut(s) then torque is only 3Nm. Such a small torque I like to use locktite and "torque" until everything is mounted flat, no movement.

    hi

thanks a million for that , It gave me the right place to start looking it. Its actually buried deep under so what you have to do is to ( sorry didn't have my camera with me at the time ). A 2nd hand unit cured that issue so now i'am just left with the Airbag light issue.

    1. remove the fuse panel ( will need to remove a10mm nut first )
    2. Slide out the parking sensor module from its cradle
    3. undo the remaining 3 10mm nuts holding the frame in place and set aside
    4. You can then see the Electronic Brake module attached to the floor.
    5. undo the 2 securing nuts and remove.
    6. replace the module ( no coding is required ) and reassemble everything.

    hope this helps someone else.

    regards

    brendan
