Satellite broadband dish

    I have a konnect satellite broadband dish and just curious if I could get any tv channels by using a satellite receiver ,perhaps saorsat ?

    I'm assuming you are re-using the dish. It depends on what satellite you are pointing at.

    Saorsat is on 9E but you need a special LNB that are like hens teeth.

    Freesat UK is on 28E. They are the main satellites for general English language programs.

    Dishes aren't that expensive exp secondhand so may not be worth the trouble if you ever wanted to get satellite BB again.

    No, Saorsat transmits from a different satellite at a different location if the dish is pointing at the Konnect satellite.

    If you were to align it on Ka Sat I'm not sure if a satellite receiver can power the send/receive "LNB" on that dish.

    Konnect seems to be pointed at 7 degrees east

    Practically it's probably easier to out up a second dish. You could set up an offset feed to receive other satellites, but it's fiddly and you need to know what you are doing.
