I don't know how Miami are only 7 down heading into the fourth. I don't like it. 25 points for Tatum in the first half but no score in the third quarter. Hopefully he heats up in the fourth.

    insane ending here

That’s the most incredible finish you could imagine, game 7! 😁

OMG. I'm glad I stayed up for that

Holy ****, no idea how that happened but fair play to Boston, they hung in there, I would be sick if I was a Heat fan, that was a bad way to lose but it is what it is, feel bad for Jimmy. He got them there but just got fucked at the last hurdle

Mental finish! If Boston win the next one, it will be an epic comeback, sickened for Jimmy.

I hope Boston beat us now in Game 7. Nuggets will only destroy us in finals.

It’s crazy really, as much as I fancied Boston last night away I was more than concerned they’d be able to win G 7 at home. Boston’s home play off record for the last few seasons is shocking at in or around .500, and their away record by contrast is stunning - I think they’re now 14-7 away over the last few seasons.

Going to be a long night tomorrow night…

Mainly lurk around here, and so have read most of this thread throughout the season.

The first three words of this had me worrying that it was an update on something else.

Wishing you all the best for your health and with game 7!

Pretty hilarious the hot takes coming out about White now, 1 tip in and he is being hailed as the most underrated player in the league…lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,109 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

He was the leading scorer in game 5 and scored 16 points in game 4. So you add the tip in to those two performances and that'll start that conversation.

Fair enough and good point. I still find it amusing how quickly the narrative can change

Have to agree to a degree with both of you on this.🤣

    Is White good? Yes.

Has the reporting on him over the last few days been OTT? Also yes!

Anyone know if the Boston-Miami game is on Sky Sports? Out walking the dog and the Sky Sports page seems to be frozen so can't check.

Celtics defense has been very poor to this point. Gotta pick it up quickly or they are in big trouble.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,109 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Only 41 scored in the first half, down by 11. Mazzulla has a lot to fix at halftime.

Tatum’s at 50% at best here, can’t see Boston coming back from this one with him hurt.

Never was a doubt in Jimmy’s mind. His post game 6 interview was the calmest and most confident interview you could imagine in the given context.

Boston should pull the starters, it’s over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,677 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Boston’s shots didn’t fall from beyond the arc tonight like they did the previous three games, that’s all it really comes down to. Make or miss league.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,109 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Tatum's injury on the first play of the game is why they lost.

Miami won the three point battle by more in game 6 but lost.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,083 ✭✭✭Carcharodon

And Caleb Martin having the game of his life, the heat will need that extra guy to step up in some of these finals games if they are to stand any chance. Could Hero be back ? Thought I saw that he is clear to play, tough ask to put him in line up now, might cause more damage than good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,677 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Nuggets have opened strong favs for the series and -8.5 in game one.

    Nuggets in 5 imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,742 ✭✭✭Corvo

Strong chance Nuggets sweep them. Unless Jimmy can get them to a single win but Nuggets should win easy.

On another note. Picked up an old school Melo Nuggets top to see off one of the most entertaining players ever.

So I didn’t get to see the game as I spent last night in hospital - long story and I’ll spare you the details but on the mend and will be here for a few days.

I’m not shocked they lost, I am however shocked at the performance. Boston have been so hot and cold this off-season I shouldn’t be surprised, but hey ho, here we are.

Lots of tough decisions to make before the start of next season.

LL will be creaming himself in a few days when the LeBron Show is available for broadcast. Coincidental timing of course that it’s on during The Finals - note: that’s sarcasm, it’s the most LeBron thing ever. Put it on during the Finals for extra puff piece eyeballs and attention if the Lakers got there; OR take from the Finals and make sure no one forgets The King 🙄 even when he’s not there.

Martin kept them in it in game 6 as well with 21 points and 15 rebounds.

Two fantastic performances in a row. Obviously people will remember this one more because they won but he did it in two consecutive games.
