The only thing I am concerned for about the Celtics is their bench depth...I wonder if Pritchard is not playing because he wanted to be traded at the deadline and Grant Williams hasnt been good at all especially compared to last year's playoffs

Doc leaving himself with one timeout remaining with 10 minutes left in the game is a mess

Curry set the all time G7 record with 50 last round. Does Tatum beat it? Doesn’t feel the same when the game isn’t close tbh.

    That’s a bull💩 goal tending call.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

In the PlayOffs the roster shrinks. Wouldn’t be too worried tbh.

To be fair on this one, what was he supposed to do? He had to use them because they were so bad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

There we go, 51 in G7. Still over 7 mins left.

I think if they play the Lakers or Nuggets they need one or two more maybe one of the two guys I mentioned step up in the next series Vs the Heat

How many games do you think the Nuggets and Lakers series will go in your opinion?..

Even Mark Jackson throwing in a “Momma, there goes that man” earlier can’t ruin this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

Likely 5, but maybe 6. Denver all the way (barring injuries or suspensions of course).

I don’t. They’re the deepest team in the league.

Just realized that it’s a repeat of the bubble Conf. Finals.

Bizarre though thst 2 Play In teams make the Conf. Finals in the same year. I’d bet that won’t happen again for a long time.

Ya that vote against Jokic has really made me seen a different side to Jackson...he apologized of course only because it became a big deal

I hope that ends all the question marks about Tatum. He blitzed the fourth quarter in game six to keep us alive and then another clutch performance in game seven.

"I apologize to the Denver Nuggets," Jackson added. "I apologize to Nikola Jokic, who is not only in the MVP discussion and deserved to be on my ballot, but he's one of the greatest players in the history of this game. And he is a top-10 center of all time. So, I own it. If you wanna take away my vote, (you're) more than welcome. I made a mistake."

I don't know what he was thinking very odd 🤔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

I know exactly what he was thinking, and so does everyone else, but people are afraid to call this what it is because he is black - it’s racism. He should have his vote taken away, but he won’t. He is an embarrassment of a man.

My First Team All NBA is:

    Hauser (Boston) F

    Pritchard (Boston) C

    DiVincenzo (GS) G

    Allen (Bucks) F

    Wagner (Mo) (Orlando) PG

Trying to out-ridiculous Jackson is hard, but I hope by putting Pritchard at centre, Allen at forward, and the second best Wagner in Orlando at point guard I’ve achieved it.

Ya it's hard to defend him it looks very bad, definitely an agenda on Jacksons part there I think

There's a real chance now Embiid is traded this summer imo

If Jackson and Perkins were white and spoke about black players the way they do about white players, they’d be cancelled. And rightly so. Complete double standards.

LeBron doesn’t have a squarely clean history on this either, but he’s not in the same league as those two clowns.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

“I apologize because my identity was revealed as the one voter who didn’t include Jokic on his ballot” more like. A disgusting man.

If you do some digging on Jackson (google s alone has loads), you’ll see a lot of the reasons why he’s no longer coaching. He’s anti-gay, anti-white, anti-lots of things. A very bitter man.

Ya Perkins is doing it just to remain controversial to keep his job on the talk show but his takes on Jokic are outrageous as well

On the subject of LeBron, I am a big fan of Jordan but if he wins a ring this year it's going to be hard to debate that he is if not equal to Jordan but the GOAT, what do you think?...

Jordan will still be the GOAT. Six rings and people talked about the team around him but in the middle of those six rings he left to try baseball and that team had a worse record and didn't even make the conference finals.

In his first season back they improve from 47-35 to 72-10. The next year they go 69-13 and in his final year they went 62-20.

72-10 was the best ever regular season until the Warriors beat it a few years ago. Still second best.

Jordan is the regular season ppg record holder and the playoff ppg record holder.

Jordan has five MVPs in a much shorter career than James who has four.

And he won.those awards when social media didn't affect the outcome and it was much tougher to get one.

He was the NBA scoring champion every year he played between 1987 and 1998.

    15-2 in the playoffs in '91, 15-7 in '92, 15-4 in '93, 15-3 in '96, 15-4 in '97 and 15-6 in '98.

As well as a great scorer he was a great defender and won defensive MVP.

Nobody has come anywhere close to him yet.

You make great points there, I would always had Jordan as the GOAT and probably always will but if James wins another ring at 38 and is MVP that's a huge achievement especially after becoming all time leading scorer this year...

How would you compare Jordan and Lebron simply on basketball skills? What is each better at than the other in your opinion?...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,083 ✭✭✭Carcharodon

And yet he is still being interviewed for Bucks job, that’s absolutely insane!!!! Maybe Bucks are just making dilute it looks like they are being open to all coaches in a variety of demographics but god damn it would be hilarious if they hired him, Giannis would be gone asap

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,253 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

The all time scoring record is about longevity more than anything else. If Jordan played as long as LeBron as in not going to college where he spent four seasons he'd have over 42k points.

As regards skills, Jordan was just incredible going to the basket. I seen him switch hands three times while in the air and reach back to the basket to score. Nike air Jordan happened because he seemed to hang in the air longer than anybody else.

Jordan wasn't a ball hog, he was a real team player. Without doubt he was far better offensively and he beats LeBron easily in steals per game but LeBron is a slightly better or busier rebounder. There's not much between them as rebounders.

The comparison for LeBron is for second all time. There's not much between him and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. I'd put LeBron just ahead of him.

Jordan didn't have a superstar team around him. What LeBron had in Miami was ridiculous. That was the first real superteam since the 90's when the Rockets put Olajuwon, Barkley and Drexler together. They won two titles just like the Heat did.

    It would be hilarious.

After LeBron got Vogel fired there were rumours Jackson was getting the job. I honestly would have struggled to contain my laughter on that had it happened.
